Triathlon: Maryland "Best Of.." Winners To Receive Travel Stipend!

(St. Paul, MN - 6/15/05) "Best of the US" Management thank the director and sponsors of the Columbia Triathlon, Maryland's "Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition's" qualifiying event, for providing travel stipends for their Championship-bound athletes. Maryland is the third state to provide such a generous benefit: Minnesota representatives will each receive $300, courtesy of Rainbow Resort; Colorado's top amateur male & female will receive $400 apiece, thanks to director Peggy Shockley and sponsors Raptor Industries, Inc. and Advanced Oil Services, Inc.; and Maryland's advancing athletes--Anthony Van Lierop & Connie Chow Dowler--will both receive $200, courtesy of race director Robert Vigorito and the Columbia Triathlon Association. The Minnesota qualifier--Lake Waconia Sprint Triathlon--will be staged on June 26; the Colorado qualifier--Loveland Lake to Lake Triathlon--is slated for June 25.
