Posted: June 25, 2005 Olympics: See You In Torino Fund Supports Canadian Olympians Dear Runners, Next Friday the greatest country in the world celebrates its 138th birthday. From all of us at the See You In Canadian Athletes Fund, we want to wish you a very Happy Canada Day! The See You In Athens Fund distributed direct financial support to over 400 able bodied /paralympic athletes. We directly funded 244 of the 266 athletes that represented Canada in Athens, including 11 of our 12 medallists. "Without the funding I received from the See You In Athens Fund last year, I would not be wearing the gold medal around my neck."
This Canada Day celebrate with passion, pride and patriotism by investing in our athletes who wear the maple leaf on the world stage. The 2005 application deadline for the See You In Torino Fund and See You In Beijing Fund was June 24, 2005. The couriers dropped off hundreds of applications from athletes across Canada. For a donation of $25 or more you will receive the name of the athlete/ bio that your contribution has directly supported and a tax receipt. To make a donation: On-line: SeeYouInToronto.com. Cheque Payable:

Please forward this opportunity to other proud Canadians you know. Jane Roos "Most of us retired athletes do not retire rich and since having twins in October things have gotten "twice" as expensive but the Torino Olympics are less than a year away and now is the time when the athletes need support. I'm sold on the program and just donated $200 online, I received a tax receipt by email within minutes...I plan to do that a few times a year. It won't take much at all if a lot of us give even a little!"
