Athletics: Hall wins big in TJ at USA Juniors

LOS ANGELES - Kenny Hall continued his domination of the men's triple jump Sunday at the 2005 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Home Depot Center. Athletes ages 19 and under competed for the right to represent Team USA at the 2005 Pan Am Junior Championships July 29-31 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, by placing in the top two of their events.

The national high school record holder and a USATF Junior Olympic record holder as well, Hall won the men's triple jump with a wind-aided (+2.2mps) 16.39m/53-9.25. Rashad Toussaint was second with 15.86m/52-0.5.

Harvard-bound Zachary Pollinger won the men's 10,000-meter race walk in 45:29.10, followed by Jared Swehosky in 48:33.35.

In the final event of the day, Michael Bingham of Wake Forest won the decathlon with 7,042 points, with David Pichler second with 6,966
