Athletics: Mondo and Athletics Canada Join Forces

(June 29, 2005) Ottawa, ON– Athletics Canada and Mondo are pleased to announce a new sponsorship agreement which will see the industry’s leading track surfacing company as the official supplier of facility products for Canada’s national track and field association through to the 2008 Olympics.

Known as a leader in the rubber flooring industry, producing durable and high performance sport and commercial surfaces, Mondo is the official supplier to the IAAF and has served as the official track supplier of the last eight Olympic Games. As well, Mondo has been the track of choice at the past five World Championships in Athletics in addition to this year’s upcoming championships in Helsinki, Finland.

Focusing their research on creating products that are ergonomically correct for the human body, Mondo tracks are considered to be the fastest in the world as evidenced by the more than 200 world records and countless national and personal best records having been set on their surface.

Mondo also recently incorporated a multi purpose flooring that will allow schools and community centres to take advantage of the Mondo durability while meeting a multitude of needs not only limited to track and field.
