Athletics: Allen’s Family Challenge Set for July 24

We are pleased to present the first annual Allen’s Family Challenge taking place on July 24th and encourage you and your family to participate. This event offers a chip-timed 10k Run and 5k Walk, on a flat, fast, sanctioned course, with over $7000 in prize money available.

Additionally, the Allen’s Family Challenge offers a non-competitive 10k Bike, 5k In-line Skate, and 1k Any-Way; a unique feature to include all the members of your family, as they can participate in different events and still spent the day together. All Events take place directly on the Lakeshore Boulevard (which has been closed for this event, from Strachan to Windermere).

All participants receive a Free Play All Day Pass to Ontario Place to use directly after the on-course events, along with an official event T-shirt and finisher’s medal.

This event will raise needed funds for Rose Cherry’s Home for Kids, Ontario’s only hospice/respite centre for terminally ill children and their families.

Don Cherry himself will attend this event to start the run and launch this great first annual.
