PETE BEACH, Fla. - (July 7, 2005) - Motion Sports Management (MSM), Tampa Bay's leading race management and coaching service, announces its 2005-06 line-up. Now in its third year of operation, MSM has introduced the highly successful St. Pete Beach Classic, rejuvenated the time-honored Bay To Bay race and raised much needed funds and awareness for local charities. "We are gratified at the running community's response to our events," says Wendy Johnson, MSM president. "We present fun, high-quality races while raising money for worthy causes like the St. Pete Free Clinic and St. Pete Beach Recreation Department. It is our goal to showcase our beautiful area and make a difference in the quality of life here." MSM presents four premier events for the Tampa Bay area. Kicking-off the season will be the Tampa Police Memorial Run on October 8 in downtown Tampa. On November 12, the PACE 5K takes to the streets at Centro Ybor in Ybor City. The highly-acclaimed St. Pete Beach Classic 10K and 5K returns for its third year January 14, 2006. The season finale is March 19 with the popular reincarnation of the Bay to Bay 12K and 5K in St. Petersburg. "We are pleased to offer an exciting lineup of outstanding venues for this year," continued Johnson. "The runners will enjoy the courses, and we raise funds for some wonderful organizations." All MSM events are timed using the computerized ChampionChip system and are held on USATF certified courses, making the courses legal for national and international records in accordance with USATF requirements. Motion Sports Management, based in St. Pete Beach, is owned and operated by Wendy and Al Johnson. MSM has two primary focuses: professional management services for road races and triathlons and coaching services for triathletes. Each member of the MSM team brings unique skills and experience whether it is as an athlete, coach or race director.
