Triathlon: Best of the US - Vance Advances, Tobin, Too

(St. Paul, MN - 7/11/05) Jim Vance, 28, of San Diego, & Katrin Tobin of Santa Cruz, won the Santa Cruz International/Best of the US California Qualifier on July 10. Vance is an established star of both road & off-road triathlons and can be expected to race at the front of the field in New Hampshire. Tobin may sneak up on the field in Gilford as she is best known in cycling--she's a former pro rider who owns a stage win at the Women's Tour de France (1989)--and Adventure circles. Her brother is world class duathlete, Xterra racer & Adventure racer, Michael Tobin.

Myers & Kuck Are "Best Of.." Ohio!

(St. Paul, MN - 7/11/05) Scott Myers, 29, of Welton, & Missy Kuck, 29, of Dayton, were victorious on July 10 at the Caesar Creek International/Best of the US Ohio Qualifier. Says "Best of.." PR Director Jerry MacNeil, "Missy & Scott are great athetes. Kuck's been awesome this season; just look at her results at St Croix (4th) and Escape from Alcatraz (2nd). And Myers, who was 5th at Duathlon Nationals on June 11, has won more races on Buckeye soil than anyone over the last 2-3 seasons. Team Ohio will be VERY competitive on August 20."

It's Gilles & Walth For North Dakota!

(St. Paul, MN - 7/10/05) Unsurprisingly, Rob Gilles of Fargo, & Marnie Walth of Bismarck, were top ND finishers the Timberman Triathlon/Best of the US North Dakota Qualifier on July 9.
