Athletics: IAAF Provisionally Suspends Neelam Jaswant Singh

Helsinki, Finland - Discus Thrower Neelam Jaswant Singh (IND) has been provisionally suspended by the IAAF following an adverse analytical finding for the prohibited substance, pemoline (S6. Stimulants). The test was conducted in-competition in Helsinki on 7 August 2005.

Ms Singh is provisionally suspended under IAAF Rules pending a hearing before the relevant disciplinary tribunal of the Athletics Federation of India. The sanction for a first-time violation for pemoline is a minimum of 2 years.
