Athletics: The New Las Vegas Marathon To Host CEO Marathon Competition

BOULDER, CO – In a quest to create a new venue for men and women who have climbed to the top of the corporate ladder, CEO Challenge LLC announced today that the New Las Vegas Marathon will be the first marathon in the world to host a CEO Marathon competition.

A CEO Marathon event will be run in conjunction with the New Las Vegas Marathon on December 4, 2005, on a marathon course that, for the first time, will run the world famous Las Vegas Strip. The race will start and finish at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center, and the Four Seasons Hotel (which is attached to Mandalay Bay) will serve as the CEO Marathon host hotel.

The CEO Marathon Competition will be open to any CEO or Company President (min. annual gross revenue of $5 million US), with awards to the top three in four categories: Female, Male over 50, 40 – 49, and under 40. The top finishers will be ranked vs. other CEOs racing at subsequent CEO Marathon events throughout the world.

The CEO Marathon program is designed as a ‘competition within the competition’ for CEOs and Company Presidents, and includes first class accommodation, on-site coaching, VIP passes to all events, the opportunity to interact with fellow CEO marathon runners, and race day hospitality for families and guests of competing CEOs. * Private race kit pick-up, and front of the line access to all events
* CEO Marathon racing uniform and casual clothing
* Invitation to an exclusive CEO Marathon reception and dinner on Friday night – meet your competition, the race organizers, and some of the top marathon runners in the world
* Guided Sat morning pre-race warm-up, racing tips, and Q&A by one of the ‘Devine All Stars’ of world renowned runners
* VIP Finishing stand credentials for families of CEO competitors
* VIP tent admittance (food, drinks, comfortable surroundings) for CEO athlete and families / guests on race day
* VIP passes to the Post Marathon Concert, featuring a major headliner (to be announced)
* Charity contribution on behalf of CEO competitors to the Prostate Cancer Foundation
