Posted: September 1, 2005 Athletics: The ''Saucony 26'' Selected for Chicago Marathon; ''Every Runner Has A Story'' PEABODY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 2005--Saucony, Inc., a leading global supplier of performance athletic footwear, apparel and accessories, today announced its selection of "Saucony 26" runners who will be participating in the 2005 LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. In 2004, Saucony introduced The Saucony 26, a collection of twenty-six people and their stories from communities in and around the marathon race courses in Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago. The Saucony 26 participants celebrate the marathon runners' differences, as well as the running community's collective and passionate love of the sport. The chosen runners symbolize each full mile of the marathon race. The people who make up this year's LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon Saucony 26 program have stories that are full of inspiration, achievement, recovery, love and amazement. They include Jennifer McDevitt of Palatine, Illinois who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2003 and is now running her second Chicago Marathon. McDevitt is running to raise money for the American Brain Tumor Association. To learn more or nominate a runner for a future Saucony 26 event, visit: www.saucony.com About Saucony, Inc.:
