Triathlon: Ironman World Championships Coverage

Can’t be in Kona to watch the race? Don’t worry … Ironmanlive.com will keep you connected to the Ford Ironman World Championship all week long. The week of intensive coverage includes a live internet broadcast on race day!

Join us for a full week of incredible Ironman coverage right here on Ironmanlive.com. The week’s coverage will start Monday, October 10. Highlighting the incredible week will be the live internet broadcast that will put live video coverage right on your computer!

Leading up to the big day we’ll have a full week of updates and features that will keep you informed on all the latest news coming from the big island.

Some highlights to look for:

Live Raceday Internet Broadcast

The Ford Ironman World Championship will be broadcast live, from 6AM on race morning (October 15) until midnight. Expect Tour de France like coverage from the course, with commentary from Bob Babbitt, Paul Huddle, and a long list of special guests. If you can't make it to the island, get comfortable and tune in!

The show is free. All you need is Windows Media Player (Mac or PC), a broadband connection, and a few PowerBars to keep you going.

Athlete Greetings

Athletes will have the chance to record their own video message to the folks back home!

Athlete Tracking with your cell phone (SMS / Text messaging)

This new service is perfect for friends and families who are on the move, but would like to follow their loved ones’ progress on the course. Here is how it works: Just sign up and you can track athletes! During signup, you will be able to send a test message to make sure that your phone supports this service. Every time your athlete crosses a timing location, your phone will receive the updated splits, in real time!

Watch Me Finish

When you return home from the race, check your real-time split page on Ironmanlive.com for the yellow "Watch Me Finish" button. In moments you will be watching on-demand video of your finish!
