Athletics: Band Search Underway For 2006 P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona®

Organizers seek bands performing salsa, reggae, R&B, alternative, classic rock and country

PHOENIX,  Ariz,  (Oct.  3,  2005)  -  The  P.F.  Chang's  Rock  'n'  Roll  Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon is now recruiting bands to play at the third annual event in the Valley of the Sun on January 15, 2006. More than 30,000 participants will run and walk the 26.2 and 13.1-mile courses to the unique sounds of over 50 live bands selected to perform at the race.

Those chosen will play on one of 40 entertainment stages positioned along each mile  of  the  courses  and  will  have  an  opportunity  to  be  showcased  on  local  and national television.

The  bands  set  the  tempo  for  this  26.2  and  13.1-mile  party,  where  runners  and spectators alike will be Dancin' in the Streets to 40 mini-concerts.  Organizers are looking for all formats of music for the January 15th event.

The road race provides a unique opportunity for bands to play to an appreciative audience in a positive, healthy, upbeat environment. Event directors are looking for invigorating,  high-energy  music  to  motivate  and  entertain  runners  and  walkers. Everything  from  salsa  to  reggae,  R&B  to  alternative,  classic  rock  to  country  is welcome.

Space is limited, so those interested in jammin' along the course at this premier musical running event should apply now. Sound, stage and promotion are included. Send a CD or tape, bio information and a photo to Entertainment Solutions, Inc., Attn: Carolyn Reyes, 4130 N. Goldwater Blvd., #215, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.

All band submissions must be received by Friday, Oct. 28, 2005.

For  additional  information  contact  Carolyn  Reyes  at  480/663-0700  or  email Carolyn@solutionsaz.com.
