Posted: October 7, 2005 Athletics: 10,000 Runners Set for Toronto Marathon on October 16 Toronto, Ontario – The 11th Annual Toronto Marathon (TM) will run through the streets of Toronto on Sunday October 16, 2005. WHO: * 10,000+ runners in 4 combined events from over 30 countries * 50,000+ spectators to line the route * 1500+ volunteers to make it happen WHAT:* The Toronto Marathon * 4 events – Full Marathon (26.2 miles); Half Marathon; Honda Relay, and 5K Run. WHEN: * Sunday, October 16, 2005 * Half Marathon 8:30 am; 5K 8:30 am; Full Marathon 9:00 am; Honda Relay 9:20 am WHERE: * Events begin at Mel Lastman Square and finish at Queen’s Park. * From MLS the route follows an 18 km loop, continues south through Forest Hill and around Casa Loma, through the Rosedale Valley Ravine to the downtown core and the finish at Queen’s Park.
