Posted: November 6, 2005 Triathlon: 2006 Ford Ironman Florida sells out in less than three hours PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla.—Registration for the 2006 Ford Ironman Florida being held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, has officially closed to general entry. The event, which will take place for the eighth time in Panama City Beach closed in less than three hours. 2065 triathletes from 35 countries around the world competed at the 2005 Ford Ironman Florida. Athletes competed for 80 qualifying spots to the 2006 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, as well as a $55,000 pro-prize purse. Comment on this story. |
