Multisport: Thompson, Skorseth & Kolpin Clean Up At Minnesota Multisport Awards

(Minneapolis - 11/18/05) David Thompson, 27, of St. Paul, Peter Skorseth, 44, of Baldwin, WI, and Sarah Kolpin, 24, of River Falls, WI won seven of the 18 awards that were presented at the 2005 Minnesota Multisport Awards Banquet on November 18 at The Depot in Minneapolis. Thompson was a three-time winner--Triathlete of the Year, Duathlete of the Year & Performance of the Year. Skorseth (Master of the Year & Most Improved) & Kolpin (Rookie of the Year & Duathlete of the Year) each took home two trophies.

The Minnesota Multisport Awards were launched in 1999 and have been presented "Academy Awards-style," i.e. presented by athletes and featuring narrated video of each nominee, since 2002. Note that some of the winners are from bordering states. Out-state athletes can receive award consideration if they meet rigorous eligibility criteria. *
