Triathlon: “Best Of The US” Welcomes 10 New Qualifiers!

(St. Paul, MN – 12/6/2005)–– ”Best of the US” Management is pleased to announce that, to date, 40 State Qualifiers for the 2006 “Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition” have been determined. Ten of these events were not part of the inaugural program in 2005. They are:

• AK - The Alaska State Triathlon Championship in Knik, AK, on August 6 (Intermediate Distance).
• IL - Tri Shark Classic at Moraine View State Park near LeRoy, IL on June 3 (600 yd swim – 13 mile bike – 5K run).
• KY – Buffalo Trails Triathlon in Maysville, KY on May 27 (.5 mile swim - 22 mile bike -5K run).
• MI – Sylvania Triathlon in Sylvania, OH on August 13 (Intermediate Distance).
• NV – Rage in the Sage Triathlon at Lake Mead National Recreation Area near Las Vegas, NV on April 23 (Intermediate Distance).
• NJ – New Jersey State Triathlon at Mercer County Park, NJ on July 23.
• ND – Castaway Club Triathlon in Detroit Lakes, MN on August 19 (2/3 mile swim – 20 mile bike – 5 mile run).
• SD – Dakota Man Triathlon near Sioux Falls, SD on June 27 (600 yd swim – 16 mile bike – 3.5 mile run).
• UT - St. George Triathlon in St. George, UT on May 13 (Intermediate Distance).
• VA/DC – Kinetic Sprint Triathlon in Spotsylvania, VA on April 23 (750m swim – 18 mile bike – 5K run).
