Athletics: New Las Vegas Marathon Results Update

From the New Las Vegas Marathon on Sunday, December 4, Alfredo Arevalo of Guatemala has been added to the post-race top results. He finished 9th in 2:20:31.

9) Alfredo Arevalo, Guatemala, 2:30:31, $1,000
10) Mohammed Awol, Ethiopia, 2:21:37, $500

Adriana Fernandez of Mexico also set a new Nevada state record with her 2:31:54 on a record standard course. Olga Kovpotina ran 2:31:54 at the 2005 Las Vegas Marathon in January, but the old LVM course was not record standard (too much elevation drop).
