This partnership is in conjunction with the recently announced sponsorship by AT&T of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams. AT&T will serve as the official telecommunications services partner of USA Track & Field through the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. With this sponsorship, AT&T becomes title sponsor of the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships (2006, 2007 and 2008) and the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (2006 and 2007). AT&T will also serve as event sponsor for both the Nike Prefontaine Classic (2006, 2007 and 2008) and Penn Relays (2006, 2007 and 2008). And in 2008, AT&T will serve as a sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field. "We're very pleased that the new AT&T can be a proud supporter of the USA Track & Field team," said Ed Whitacre, chairman and chief executive officer of AT&T. "This is the world's premier track and field team, and we are a global leader in communications, so we know we are each in good company. We are excited that we can extend our support of our nation's Olympic and Paralympic athletes with this partnership." "All of us at USA Track & Field are excited to begin our partnership with the new AT&T," said USATF CEO Craig Masback. "AT&T has clearly demonstrated its commitment to the Olympic Movement and the road to Beijing through its support of the Visa Championship Series, our USA Indoor and Outdoor Championships and the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field." Today's announcement is the latest step in the AT&T efforts to help U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls compete. AT&T will serve as the Official Telecommunications Services Partner of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy, that start on Feb. 10, 2006, and the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing. The sponsorship with the USATF is a key element in the AT&T commitment to support the new brand with the most extensive multimedia advertising campaign in the history of AT&T. About USA Track & Field
