Posted: January 12, 2006 Athletics: Online Registration For The 2006 Toronto Marathon Is Now Open The 12th Annual Toronto Marathon will take place on Sunday October 15, 2006 through the heart of Toronto. Register Early! The first 2000 participants in the Marathon and Half Marathon will receive a Karbon Technical Wicking Shirt - a $45 value! All participants who register by October 1, 2006 will have their name printed on a custom, multi-coloured bib. Don't miss the best Carbo Dinner around! This year's dinner will be sponsored by Brunello Imports and feature guest speakers Bart Yasso, Dr. Kate Hays, Dr. Chris Woollam, John Stanton and running legend Bill Rodgers. Getting to the start line has never been easier! Transportation to the start line will be available for all participants in the Marathon and Half Marathon. Buses will depart from the Holiday Inn on King and the Toronto Hilton between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., and will pick up participants along Yonge St. at Bloor St., St. Clair Avenue, Eglinton Avenue, Lawrence Avenue, and Wilson Avenue en route to the start line.
