Posted: January 17, 2006 Triathlon: Cornhusker State Games Triathlon To Host 2006 “Best Of The US” Nebraska Qualifier (St. Paul, MN – 1/14/2006)–– ”Best of the US” Management is pleased to announce that the Cornhusker State Games Triathlon will host the 2006 “Best of the US” Nebraska State Qualifier. The fastest male and female resident amateur will earn the right to represent the Cornhusker State at the “Best of the US Championship” in Excelsior, MN on September 16. The Cornhusker State Games Triathlon, scheduled for July 23, replaces the Pigman Sprint Triathlon (Cedar Rapids, IA), which hosted the 2005 Nebraska State Qualifier. “We couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Nebraska’s premier triathlon,” says Jerry MacNeil, of the “Best of the US” Management Team. “We look forward to working with Scott Ash, of the Nebraska Sports Council. He was instrumental in our securing not only the Cornhusker State Games Triathlon, but the Maine Games Triathlon as well.” The Nebraska Games Triathlon will be staged at Holmes Lake in Lincoln. The event will consist of a 1K swim, a 21K bike leg and 5K run. In addition to it’s partnership with “Best of the US,” it is the exclusive qualifier for the 2007 State Games Triathlon of America, which will be held in Colorado Springs, CO.
