Posted: January 18, 2006 Athletics: A Running Start Opens Website From David Monti © 2005 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved RaceResultsWeekly.com A Running Start, a not-for-profit organization which funds grass roots training programs in Africa, has opened a new website: ARunningStart.org Founder, Karl Keirstead, notes that two new projects have been added in Ethiopia and in Tanzania. "East Africa has the greatest store of running talent in the world," reads the mission statement on the group's website. "The mission of A Running Start is to harness this talent base in order to help East Africans help themselves." Comment on this story. |
