(St. Paul, MN – 1/23/2006)–– ”Best of the US” Management is pleased to announce that the 6th annual St. George Triathlon (www.sgtri.com) will host the 2006 “Best of the US” Utah State Qualifier. The fastest male and female resident amateur will earn the right to represent the Behive State at the “Best of the US Championship” in Excelsior, MN on September 16.

The St. George Triathlon, a 1200-person race which features both sprint and Olympic distance races, will be contested on Saturday, May 13 near St. George in scenic southwestern Utah. The Olympic distance event will determine Utah’s “Best of the US..” representatives. “We couldn’t be happier that Utah’s premier triathlon will host the Utah qualifier,” says Jerry MacNeil, “Best of the US” PR Director. “This is the largest and most energetic event in the state with some legitimate competitors. We expect Utah to send a talented duo to the Championship.”
