Triathlon: Kinetic Sprint Triathlon To Host 2006 “Best Of The US” Virginia/DC Qualifier

(St. Paul, MN – 2/6/2006)–– ”Best of the US” Management is pleased to announce that the 2nd annual Kinetic Sprint Triathlon will host the 2006 “Best of the US” Virginia/DC State Qualifier. The fastest male and female resident amateur will earn the right to represent the Old Dominion at the “Best of the US Championship” in Excelsior, MN on September 16. Annandale, Virginia’s brilliant Margie Shapiro won the 2005 “Best of the US Championship” in New Hampshire.

The fastest Virginia male and female resident amateur will automatically earn invitations to represent their state at the Championship. Only the fastest male and female District of Columbia triathletes, if they finish among the top 5 amateurs in their respective genders, will advance to the Championship. If, as in 2005, no DC athletes crack the overall top 5, DC will not represented at the Championship.

The Kinetic Sprint Triathlon is produced by Set-Up Inc. and consists of a 750 meter swim, a 18 mile bike leg and 5K run. It will be contested on Sunday, April 23 at beautiful Lake Anna State Park near Spotsylvania, VA. “The Kinetic Sprint is one of three state qualifiers produced by the pros at Set-Up Inc., who produce more than 50 quality events annually. No event management company better serves the triathletes of their region,” says Jerry MacNeil, “Best of the US” PR Director.

The Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Competition is produced by Midwest Events, LLC of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
