New Distance-Only Track Meet Scheduled for Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- After the success of last year's Music City Distance Carnival, meet director Dave Milner has announced that in 2006 he will stage an additional distance-only track meet in Nashville. The new event on the schedule is the Tennessee Running Distance Solution, which will take place at Vanderbilt University's state of the art Mondo track on Saturday, May 13th, three weeks before the Music City Distance Carnival.

Two teams who have already committed to supporting the event are Indiana Invaders, the Indianapolis-based track and field club, and Zap Fitness, a distance-only enclave based in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. "Having the Invaders and Zap on board early is great." Milner said. "Now I'm working on recruiting college teams to attend."
