Posted: February 15, 2006 Athletics: Gerweck Named Managing Editor Of Running Times From David Monti © 2006 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved RaceResultsWeekly.com Carol Lasseter-Rice, publisher of the U.S. running magazine, Running Times, announced today that Jim Gerweck had been named managing editor, succeeding the recently departed Marc Chalufour who took a position at the Boston Athletic Association, organizers of the Boston Marathon. "Jim's dedication, energy, commitment and cooperative spirit have endeared him to us at Running Times," said Lasseter-Rice in a prepared statement. "He will be a superb managing editor." Gerweck is an avid runner, race organizer, course measurer and coach living in Norwalk, Conn., not far from the Running Times offices in Wilton where he had previously been editor-at-large. He has also contributed results and stories to RRW. Jonathan Beverly will continue as editor-in-chief. Running Times, which bills itself as the "runner's best resource," targets dedicated runners for whom "running is an end in itself," as Beverly once told RRW. It is the #2 running magazine in the United States based on audited circulation behind Runner's World. Comment on this story. |
