Athletics: Two Team Running USA Athletes Continue USA Championship Quest in Boston

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - (February 22, 2006) - Sara Hall and Ian Dobson, Team Running USA athletes, continue their national championship quest at the USA Indoor Championships in Boston this Saturday and Sunday, February 25-26. The top two athletes per event qualify for the 2006 World Indoor Championships in Moscow, March 10-12.

This past weekend at the USA Cross Country Championships in New York City, Dobson and Hall placed 5th and 6th respectively in the 4K to earn trips to the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan on April 1-2. The pair, both recent Stanford grads, will compete in the 3000 meters on Saturday afternoon.

Other top entrants at the USA Indoor Championships in the 3000 meters include:
MEN
Adam Goucher, 2006 USA 4K XC champion and 2000 Olympian; Jonathan Riley, defending champion and 2004 Olympian; Grant Robison, 2004 Olympian; Steve Slattery, 2003 USA steeplechase champion and Christopher Estwanik

WOMEN
Carrie Tollefson, 2006 USA 4K XC champion and 2004 Olympian; Katie McGregor, 2005 USA 10,000 and 10K champion; Amy Mortimer; Sarah Schwald and Sara Slattery

The 2006 USA Indoor Championships will be broadcast nationally on ESPN on Sunday, February 26 (3:30 - 5:30pm ET, check local listings).
