Posted: March 8, 2006 Triathlon: “Best Of The US” And Exclusive Sports Management Invites Florida’s Best To Race At Coca-Cola Classic Sprint-St. Augustine On April 22 (St. Paul, MN – 3/8/2006)––The male and female champions of the 2005 Coca-Cola Sprint Triathlon – St. Augustine won the Fastest Team Competition at the inaugural “Best of the US Championship” at Lake Winnipesaukee. North Palm Beach’s John Reback, 2003 USAT Triathlete of the Year, placed 8th in the men’s contest, and Vero Beach’s Lotte Branigan, 2005 USAT Female Triathlete of the Year runner-up, finished a spectacular 2nd for the women. Can Florida be as formidable at the 2006 Championship? “Absolutely!” says Jerry MacNeil, “Best of the US” PR Director. “There’s so much talent in Florida right now. Just check out the 2005 USAT Athlete of the Year Awards, which were dominated by Floridians: Marc Bonnet-Eymard won Male Triathlete of the Year, Branigan placed second in the Female TOTY voting, Linda Robb ran away with the Female Master of the Year award and Joe Bonness was Male Master of the Year runner-up. And let’s not forget about Reback, Boris Fenrnandez, Robert Skaggs, Anton Van Zyl, Kevin Grogan, , Ashley Carusone, Sarah Quinty and Texas transplant Sharon Beltrandelrio. We’d love to see these and all the other great Florida triathletes at St. Augustine on April 22.” The “Best of the US Championship” is slated for September 16 at beautiful Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior, MN.
