Highlights for March include:
- For four decades the San Blas Half Marathon in Coamo, Puerto Rico has been part festival, part parade, and the best racing in the world.
- Let the uninspired tourists take the elevator, the best way to the top in the Bank of America Empire State Building Run-up are the stairs…all 1,576 of them.
- It’s all about a hot and happening vibrant neighborhood and the buzz of Washington Heights in Coogan’s Salsa, Blues & Shamrocks 5k.
- America’s best test themselves on the barbarous Van Cortlandt course in the USA Cross Country Championships, staged by New York Road Runners.
- Then a visit to paradise…Waikiki, Diamond Head, and plenty of company in the 33rd annual Honolulu Marathon.
- If you run all six you’ve got over 65 miles under your belt in New York Road Runners Half-Marathon Grand Prix Series – first up, Manhattan.
- The world’s best hammer it out in the rolling hills. It’s the Visit Scotland Great Edinburgh International Cross Country, featuring superstar Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopia.
