Triathlon: POWERbreathe and Ironman Form Partnership

March 16, 2006 - POWERbreathe by Gaiam, the world leader in Inspiratory Muscle Trainers, is joining Ironman, the No. 1 user-based sports license in the world, as its newest product partner. The multi-year agreement, beginning in 2006, makes POWERbreathe the official Inspiratory Muscle Trainer of Ironman and gives both companies the opportunity to co-brand a wide range of POWERbreathe products.

"Ironman is proud to partner with Gaiam's POWERbreathe products, a product line that can enhance the performance of endurance athletes," says Bill Potts, vice president of marketing for Ironman.

POWERbreathe is a drug-free, hand-held portable device that exercises the muscles associated with breathing, thereby strengthening and improving muscle capacity. When used correctly over a span of 4-weeks, POWERbreathe products strengthen lung function and boost performance. There are several different types of products in the line including models specifically designed to improve wellness, fitness and sports performance. There is also a model, available by prescription only, designed to improve health conditions such as asthma. Having multiple designs in the product line ensures there is a range of resistance levels suitable for any type of consumer.

"POWERbreathe is the first UK originated product and brand that Ironman has selected to be associated with its prestigious brand. We are very pleased that POWERbreathe is recognized as a world-class product and brand," said Harry Brar, Gaiam UK's managing director.

POWERbreathe products are developed, designed and manufactured in the UK with research from around the world and are available globally from many upscale sports and leisure, health, wellness and lifestyle retailers.
