Posted: March 29, 2006 Triathlon: Chat With Pro Triathletes At Ironman Arizona SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. — Athletes and spectators visiting Central Arizona during the week of Ironman Arizona can chat with professional triathletes on Friday, April 7 at Triple Sports of Scottsdale. 2006 Ironman Arizona athletes Ute Mückel, Bjorn Andersonn along with 8-time Ironman winner Wendy “Wingnut” Ingraham will sign autographs and visit with triathlon enthusiasts from 2-3 p.m. at Triple Sports, 4032 N. Miller Road near downtown Scottsdale. Triple Sports and Recôvox, the ultimate recovery agent, are bringing together pro and age-group triathletes in a fun environment to help set the tone for another exciting running of Ironman Arizona. In its second year, Ironman Arizona will provide 140.6 miles — 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run — of challenge for more than 2,200 athletes from here in Arizona and around the world. Tempe once again will play host to this mountainous event — one of only six such events in all of North America — on Sunday, April 9 at Tempe Town Lake. Triple Sports is the Valley’s hottest name in swim, bike, run and triathlon gear and apparel for everyday athletes. The store opened on the southwest corner of Miller and Indian School roads in downtown Scottsdale in June 2005. Recôvox, a product of Malibu-based Primal Nutrition, was specifically designed to improve athletic performance by promoting faster recovery from workouts. By simply taking two capsules of Recovox each day, the body recovers properly from intense training and racing. For more information, call 480-994-1174. Source: Brian Anderson www.triplesports.com. |
