Athletics: Cherry Blossom To Get Generous Television Coverage

The Credit Union Cherry Blosson Ten Miler will receive local, regional and national television exposure, according to Ambrose Salmini of New Jersey-based Salmini Films.

"Salmini Films is using eight cameras to cover the event which takes the field close to the Washington Monument, across the Potomac River towards Arlington National Cemetery, then past the Lincoln Memorial," said Salmini in an e-mail message sent to the RRW office.

He notes that the race will be broadcast locally in Washington, D.C., on WJLA ABC 7 on Saturday, April 8th at 5:30 p.m. National airings will follow on the Outdoor Life Netorek (OLN) on Saturday, April 29th at 3:30 p.m., and Tuesday, May 2nd at 4:00 p.m. Finally, highlights will also appear on the RUNNING program on the YES Network available in the New York City tri-state region and nationally on Direct TV, a satellite television service.

The Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Miler takes place on Sunday, April 2.
