Triathlon: Ironman World Champion Dave Scott Hosts Training Camp

HENDERSON, Nev., March 30, 2006 - In coordination with Lowery’s Multisport Races and the City of Henderson, six-time Ironman World Champion Dave Scott will host a training camp at the Henderson Multigenerational Center June 9 – 11, 2006. The three-day camp will include in depth discussions and hands on training exercises with Dave Scott himself. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about triathlon training in one weekend than they will ever learn in their lives.

“There is no other person better suited to host a training camp than Dave Scott,” said Lowery. “ We are thrilled that he has agreed to share his knowledge and unique talents. This is an opportunity that no triathlon competitor should miss out on.”

The schedule for the weekend training camp is as follows:

Registration for the Dave Scott training camp is limited to the first 30 athletes and is $285 per attendee. This fee includes fitness assessments, all classroom sessions and materials, workout sessions and meals. Simply bring the motivation to train, a bike, helmet, running shoes, swim cap and goggles. The Silverman Triathlon is a full-distance triathlon held in Henderson, Nevada. Branded as the toughest course in North America by "The Man" himself, Dave Scott, and echoed by the 244 finishers from 2005, the Nevada Silverman is sure to attract individuals and relay teams from around the world in 2006.
