The finals-only event will begin at 12:30 p.m. PT at the Home Depot Center, on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills, and will be broadcast live on ESPN from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. PT. (4 p.m.-6 p.m. ET). For group sales, call 1-877-AEG-TICKETS Last year, the event featured a roster that included 31 Olympic and World Championship medalists, among them Jeremy Wariner, Allyson Felix, Maurice Greene, Veronica Campbell, Joanna Hayes, Sanya Richards and Bernard Lagat. Six athletes – Wariner, Felix, Lauryn Williams, Michelle Perry, Bershawn Jackson and Adam Nelson – went on later last summer to win gold medals at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. Among the 2005 adidas Track Classic highlights was a mammoth toss of 72 feet, 10 inches by two-time Olympic medalist and four-time World Champion shot putter John Godina, which would end up topping the world list as the longest in the world for 2005. Most of those athletes are expected to return this year; with announcements to follow soon. Produced by Global Athletics & Marketing, Inc., the adidas Track Classic is the second stop of USA Track & Field’s Visa Championship Series.
