The Reebok Grand Prix, which organizers have billed as the "only outdoor East Coast meet that offers head-to-head competition among world-class athletes," will offer U.S. viewers live television on ESPN2.

The meet, which is the fourth stop on USA Track & Field’s Visa Championship Series, is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, at Ichan Stadium in New York City. The meet begins at 5:30 p.m., and the television coverage kicks in half an hour later and will run for a full two hours.

Also, tickets for this competition are now on sale through the meet's official website, www.ReebokGrandPrix.com, and are priced at $30 or $20.

Fans of distance running can see two great events that day, if they are willing to travel a little. That morning at 10:15 a.m., the Freihofer's Run for Women, an international 5-K road race, will be held about 150 miles north in Albany, the capital of New York State. According to MapQuest.com, the drive should take about 2 hours and 40 minutes. Train service is also available via Amtrak which takes 2 hours and 25 minutes. There is more information on the Freihofer's race at FerihofersRun.com.
