Posted: April 7, 2006 Athletics: Live TV For Reebok Grand Prix From David Monti © 2006 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved RaceResultsWeekly.com The Reebok Grand Prix, which organizers have billed as the "only outdoor East Coast meet that offers head-to-head competition among world-class athletes," will offer U.S. viewers live television on ESPN2. The meet, which is the fourth stop on USA Track & Field’s Visa Championship Series, is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, at Ichan Stadium in New York City. The meet begins at 5:30 p.m., and the television coverage kicks in half an hour later and will run for a full two hours. Also, tickets for this competition are now on sale through the meet's official website, www.ReebokGrandPrix.com, and are priced at $30 or $20. Fans of distance running can see two great events that day, if they are willing to travel a little. That morning at 10:15 a.m., the Freihofer's Run for Women, an international 5-K road race, will be held about 150 miles north in Albany, the capital of New York State. According to MapQuest.com, the drive should take about 2 hours and 40 minutes. Train service is also available via Amtrak which takes 2 hours and 25 minutes.
