Athletics: Tickets go on sale today for 2006 Reebok Grand Prix

The Reebok Grand Prix is back! The only outdoor East Coast meet that offers head-to-head competition among world-class athletes is set for June 3 at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. Tickets, at $30 and $20, are now on sale at www.ReebokGrandPrix.com or by calling 1-877-TIX-TRAC. The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will be broadcast live on ESPN2 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. ET, and is the fourth stop in USA Track & Field’s Visa Championship Series.

In its debut last year, the long-awaited New York City event featured more than two dozen Olympic and World Championship medalists, including Maurice Greene, Stacy Dragila, Liu Xiang, Allen Johnson, Meseret Defar and Adam Nelson. The lineup for the 2006 Reebok Grand Prix will be revealed soon, but expect another roster jam-packed with medalists from around the world. So get your tickets now to be guaranteed the best seat at the best meet in town this season.
