Triathlon: Herbalife is Named Official Nutrition Sponsor of the ITU Madrid World Cup

Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) extends its sponsorship of sporting and fitness-related activities around the world to Spain as it enters into an agreement naming Herbalife as the official nutrition sponsor of the ITU Madrid Triathlon World Cup, June 3-4, 2006.

The deal gives signage rights around the course as well as sampling opportunities for its independent distributors and substantial media exposure. Herbalife independent distributors and staff will be participating as part of 'Team Herbalife.'

The Madrid event was established in 2003 and attracts more than 150 elite athletes to the field, with more than 25,000 spectators throughout the weekend.

As well as an elite race, amateurs can take part in a relay triathlon which is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants this year. There is also a children's event.

The company joins other sponsors including Madrid Town Hall, the Spanish Olympic Committee, Spiuk sport equipment and media partner Triatlon Finisher.

This is the seventh triathlon event sponsored by Herbalife, including the Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon. The company also supports a range of other initiatives underlining its commitment to a healthy active lifestyle, including the AVP Pro Volleyball Tour in the U.S., Los Angeles Galaxy, the Toray Pan Pacific Tennis Championship in Japan and the world's largest cross country race, Lidingoloppet, in Sweden.
