Pole vaulter Stephanie McCann from Surrey enters the Pacific World Cup coming off a bronze medal performance at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne Australia.

Pickering’s Anson Henry will be competing in the 100m, and the 4X100m relay, while Coquitlam’s Nathan Taylor will compete in the 4X100m relay.  Henry and Taylor were both members of Canada’s bronze medal relay team in Melbourne.

With Canada and China set to host the next 2 Olympics Games – Beijing 2008 and Vancouver 2010 – the Pacific World Cup is a celebration of international cooperation and encompasses many of the same virtues as the Olympic Games.
