Triathlon: “Best Of The US” Invites Oregon’s Elite To Race At The Deschutes Dash Triathlon On July 23

(St. Paul, MN – 5/19/2006)–– “Best of the US” Management and Fresh Air Sports invite the triathletes of the Beaver State to race at the 2nd annual DESCHUTES DASH TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US OREGON QUALIFIER, a promising young sprint distance race that will be staged in scenic Bend, OR on July 23. The event is billed as “The Most Spectator Friendly Event in the Pacific Northwest.”

Some of the many talented male triathletes we hope to see on July 23 include Jeremy Bloom, Brian Cadman, John Dalrymple, Erik DeRoche, Tim Dobson, Bill Fleck, Steve Larsen, Andy Martin, Ignacio Rodriquez, Jeff Smith and Nathan Smith. Top women include Linnea Alvord, Megan Banks, Carrie Carney, Mariel Ettinger, Susan Fox, Kristina Hughes, Julie Leasure, Sheri Lehmer (2005 OR BOUS Representative), Laura Matsen, Jordan McCammond, Karen Oppenheimer, Robin Wangberg and Jill Waskom.

The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent Oregon at the “Best of the US National Championship” on September 16 at Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior, MN. Any male/female combination of the abovementioned athletes will give the Beaver State of a formidable presence at the Championship.
