Triathlon: Team Recover-Ease Strong in May

May 23, 2006 – Shrewsbury, MA – Members of Team Recover-Ease set triathlon courses on fire last weekend with 5 members putting in strong efforts at races across North America.

Recover-Ease pro triathletes Desiree Ficker and Marcel Vifian each recorded 2nd-place overall at events in Baja, Mexico (Ficker at Ironman 70.3) and Northern California (Vifian at World’s Toughest Half). Team Recover- Recover Ease triathletes Kelly Berkessle took 3rd overall at the Enduraposrt Triathlon in New York, while Katrina Mitchell (4th, women 30-34) and Shawn Talbott (8th, men 35-39) delivered strong age-group showings in Florida (Ironman 70.3).

Said Ficker after her outstanding Baja 70.3 effort and receiving the best bike split of the pro women, “The bike course was insane with lots and lots of hard climbing – but I was feeling good and strong.” Commenting on her buildup for Baja and her upcoming Eagelman 70.3 race in Maryland, Ficker said, “I’m grateful to have Wicked Fast products to help me with the hardest phases of my training and racing – I can really feel the Recover-Ease working during training and it gets me ready faster for my next race.”

Following Vifian’s outstanding showing on what he called “an exceedingly brutal course” at the World’s Toughest Half, he still had the energy to field questions about training and nutrition.
