Triathlon: IRONMAN CEO Challenge in Nice

When business competition is not enough…

With the CEO Ironman Challenge Europe, Nice welcomes an event within the long distance Triathlon and offers 10 top businessmen the chance to grab one of 2 additional qualifying slots for the IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii in October.

Next Sunday, Nice will be become the focus of the triathlon world. 1151 athletes from 49 nations have signed up to do take part in the second edition of the IRONMAN on the world famous Côte d’Azur. Pros represent approximately 2 percent of the total number of registered athletes whereas 98% are Age Group. 10 of the athletes will run in a special category, in the CEO Ironman Challenge Europe. CEO stands for Chief Executive Officer, and this special event within the Ironman has been created with the goal of bringing together business managers of top companies and allowing them the chance to qualify for Hawaii in spite of their working hours and their limited time to train.

For its third edition, the CEO Ironman Challenge Europe will be held in the magnificent Ville de Nice. The two fastest CEO Finishers will qualify for Hawaii in two age groups. Triangle combines their nine years of experience in organizing Ironman events with the CEO Challenge LLC and their six years organizing sport competitions for CEOs to make this event a reality. Together, they offer an exceptional package. The program includes unique opportunities, privileged access and a splendid experience for the competitors and their guests. The distances, however, remain the same: 3.8km swim, 180km bike and a 42.195km marathon.

The IRONMAN France – Nice Triathlon starts on Sunday June 25th at 6h30 on the Promenade des Anglais/Plage du Centenaire. The Athletes have a maximum time of 16 hours to complete the race. Winners are awaited on the Promenade around 15h00, free animation, DJs, side Programs and the Herbalife Expo Village await you on this weekend of three disciplines in Nice.
