Posted: July 2, 2006 Athletics: Lucy Smith Runs a Season Best 34:05 wins HBC Canada Day 10k
Lucy Smith continues her amazing comeback from the birth of her son last year, getting closer to top form. Her time of 34:05 was her best this season by about 1 minute, and placed her 4th overall out of the men and the women. 2nd place in the women was national team triathlete Natasha Filliol, who also ran an impressive 34:43. Lucy was only 2:37 behind men's winner Jim Finlayson, who has represented Canada in Athletics. Results are available at Race Headquarters.  Save to del.icio.us
