Triathlon: BOUS (Best of US) Invitees Rock At Nationals

(St. Paul, MN - 7/10/06) July 9 was a successful day from many BOUS invitees. Illinois representative Jennifer Garrison WON the USAT Age Group National Championships women's race and two-time Colorado BOUS rep, Wendy Mader placed 2nd. Missouri's Jillian Peterson (8th) also cracked the top ten. In the men's competition, Hawaii's Ben Collins placed 2nd overall, Wisconsin's Mark Harms took 4th, Craig Greenslit, a two-time BOUS recidivist from Colorado, grabbed 6th and 40-year-old phenom Brian Bich of Minnesota won the masters division by 3 1/2 minutes and placed 11th overall.

2005 BOUS attendees Scott Myers from Ohio (6th at the '05 BOUS Championship) and New Jersey's Christopher Martin (1st at the 2005 BOUS Championship!) also placed in the top 10 at Nationals. Myers and Martin are heavy favorites to earn BOUS invitations at their respective qualifiers, which will be contested later in July.

The Best of the U.S. Amateur Triathlete Competition is produced by Midwest Events, LLC of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
