Athletics: Ed Whitlock Sets M75 World Records

Ed Whitlock, the 75-year old running phenomenon from Milton, Ontario, set two world records this past weekend at the Canadian Masters Track and Field Championships held in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada. His times of 19:07.02 and 39:25.16 for the 5,000m (July 21) and 10,000m (July 23) respectively eclipsed the previous M75 records of 20:00.13 and 41:47.31.

From Michael Coyne who won both the 5,000m and the 10,000m in 17:27 and 36:35 respectively in the M55 age-group in his first track competition ever.
