“Fueling the Multi-Sport Lifestyle”
Colorado Springs, Colorado (August 1, 2006) - The 2007 USA Triathlon Congress, “Fueling the Multi-Sport Lifestyle,” will be held Thursday, January 11 through Sunday, January 14 at the Doubletree Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo.
USAT Congress is the one opportunity each year to bring together all USAT constituent groups and offer them a unique experience to help them grow and improve their knowledge of multi-sport. Attendees will include some of the most knowledgeable and experienced athletes, race directors, coaches, officials, sponsors, and regional presidents, along with the USAT Board of Directors and the National Office staff.
Congress will attract approximately 400 attendees from across the country, giving them the chance to network and gain contacts with those in their area. Sessions will be geared toward Age Group Athletes, Race Directors, USAT Officials, Regional Presidents, USAT Clubs, and Regional Athlete Development Coordinators.
A special addition to the 2007 event – being held in conjunction with the annual Race Director Conference – is the launching of the USAT Race Director Certification program. This 18-hour education course will establish standards of excellence and provide a structure for quality event management for race directors across the country. The culmination will be the awarding of certificates to race directors who successfully complete the course.
A Level I Coaching Clinic will also be offered prior to Congress on Wednesday, January 10 and Thursday, January 11.
Complete Congress schedule and registration information can be found at USATriathlon.org.
