Athletics: Ticket Packages For The 2008 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials Go On Sale Aug. 15

Eugene, Ore. (Aug. 11, 2006) --- Beginning Tuesday, August 15, fans can log on to Eugene08.com to purchase eight-day all-session ticket packages for the 2008 U. S. Olympic Track & Field Trials to be held in Eugene at the University of Oregon's legendary Hayward Field June 27 through July 6, 2008.

The Olympic Trials, to be held over a 10-day period, will determine who represents the United States in men's and women's track and field at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. In 2008 the Olympic Trials will return to the country’s most storied track and field venue, Hayward Field, which hosted the event in 1972, 1976, and 1980. Specifically designed to enhance the spectator experience, the intimate setting of Hayward Field brings fans remarkably close to the action.

Ticket packages in all price categories will be available to the general public, ranging from $245 to $425 per ticket package. Customers may have the opportunity to buy additional ticket packages after December 1, 2006. Any available individual, one-session tickets will go on sale in 2008. More information about ticket packages can be found at Eugene08.com, then click "Tickets."

The 2008 U. S. Olympic Track & Field Trials is hosted by the Eugene Local Organizing Committee in partnership with USA Track & Field (USATF), the University of Oregon, and the Oregon Track Club.

Ticket information, including pricing and ordering instructions, for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials is available at www.Eugene08.com, the University of Oregon's Casanova Center ticket office, and 1-800-WEBFOOT.
