Monte-Carlo - The penultimate stage of the six meeting IAAF Golden League 2006 takes place this coming Friday 25 August, at the 30th Memorial Van Damme in the Stade Roi Baudouin, Brussels, Belgium.
Following on from last Friday’s meeting in Zürich, the number of athletes in the hunt for the Jackpot has been reduced from nine to six athletes. These six are in line to win at least a share of the $500,000 prize for five wins, with four of these same contenders also on course for an additional $500,000 if they can complete a sixth victory.
IAAF Golden League Jackpot For 2006
-- Total Jackpot remains $1 Million
-- Athletes who win 5 meetings – get share of $500,000
-- Athletes who can win another meeting (6 total) – get share of AN ADDITIONAL $500,000
-- All Jackpot winners must also compete at the IAAF World Athletics Final in Stuttgart on 9 – 10 September 2006.
