Triathlon: One week to go until ITU Triathlon World Championships

Colorado Springs, Colorado (August 25, 2006) - The International Triathlon Union will have exclusive live video coverage of both the elite and age group races at the 2006 ITU Triathlon World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland on September 2-3.

The age group and junior elite race is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 2, while the U23s and senior elites take to the course on Sunday, Sept. 3. More than 300 age group athletes and 30 elite athletes will represent the U.S. during the weekend.

ITU will be broadcasting live video from the finish line so the athlete’s friends and family have a chance to watch them cross the finish line. There will also be live timing throughout the race to track the progress of each athlete. Times will be live and in real time, and full live splits and finish time will be available.

Live coverage for the age group world championships will begin at the following times in the U.S.:

Pacific Time – 11 p.m. on Friday, September 1.
Mountain Time – 12 a.m. on Saturday, September 2.
Central Time – 1 a.m. on Saturday, September 2
Eastern Time – 2 a.m. on Saturday, September 2.
