The women’s Americas team finished 3rd and the men’s Americas team finished 5th at the 10th IAAF World Cup in Athens, Greece this weekend. The Americas team consisted of eight Canadians, with the best Canadian performances recorded by Gary Reed from Victoria, B.C. and Kevin Sullivan of Brantford, Ont., who both finished 4th in the 800-metres and 3000-metres respectively.
Nicole Forrester of Cookstown, Ont. finished 5th in the women’s high jump, tying her personal best of 1.94-metres set back in 2001 at the Word University Games.
