Triathlon: Nautica(R) and Michael Epstein Sports Productions, Inc. Extend Partnership of Annual Event

MALIBU, Calif., -- Nautica® and Michael Epstein Sports Productions, Inc. (MESP) are proud to announce the multi-year extension of Nautica®'s title sponsorship of the annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon. The triathlon, in its 20th year, brings over 2,500 triathletes to Zuma Beach in Malibu, California to compete and raise funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

"We are proud to announce the continuation of this great relationship," said Michael Epstein, Event Founder and Organizer. "Nautica® has truly allowed us to create an iconic event in the sport of triathlon that combines athletic challenges, fundraising and celebrity participation into an amazing property that benefits everyone involved."

Each year, the event attracts professional triathletes, weekend warriors, challenged athletes, corporate teams and triathlon first-timers for a weekend of physical challenges and charity fundraising. In addition, it has become an annual event for Hollywood's A-listers, including Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, David Duchovny, and Jon Cryer, all Nautica Malibu Triathlon regulars.

The ten-year partnership between Nautica® and MESP has enjoyed incredible success in both money raised and the great number of diverse participants who look forward to competing in the annual event. This year alone, athletes participating in the event raised over $600,000 for the foundation which is devoted to creating hope for children and families across the world living with HIV/AIDS, while also striving to eradicate pediatric AIDS.

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon remains a key event in the triathlon circuit, and what was once the domain of marathons, the triathlon's multi-sport format has become an increasingly popular challenge for amateurs to take on both individually and as part of a team.

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon takes place each year in September, and this year celebrated its 20th anniversary with over 2,500 athletes crossing the finish line on Sunday, September 17, 2006.
