Running Times, the runners best resource, turns 30 in 2007 and will celebrate with a double anniversary issue (Jan/Feb) on sale December 5, 2006. With readership over 400,000, Running Times long ago surpassed the dreams of its three founders.
Anniversary issue highlights include:
- An insightful article by Roger Robinson on key moments and movements in the sport of running over the last 30 years.
- Founders Ed Ayres, Rick Platt and Phil Stewart reflect on their vision and experience 30 years ago, and the passion of running that continues to inspire them now.
- Pfitzy’s Lab Report gives nine training principles we’ve learned in the past three decades.
- Candace Karu’s Running Life column talks about the changes in running and the magazine during this history.
- Editor Jonathan Beverly presents comprehensive marathon training principles drawing from all the marathon training plans ever presented in our pages.
“As Running Times has grown and changed over the past 30 years, adapting to the many changes in the sport, the magazine has truly become ‘The Runner's Best Resource’ for inspiration and information” said publisher Carol Lasseter-Rice.
